MY STORY ...

Hi!  My name is Viola, and I'm 28 years old. Growing up in a very poor background with four siblings, two boys and three girls, our single mother worked tirelessly to provide for us as farmers. But when I was just 5 years old, my life took a dramatic turn. I was fortunate enough to be taken in by Children of Uganda, an organization that helped poor children like me. They schooled me, fed me, clothed me, and showered me with love. I was known for my energetic performances as a dancer and singer, and everyone expressed such adoring love toward me.

After completing my education, I faced new challenges as a young mother. I gave birth to my firstborn at a tender age and became a single mother. Despite the difficulties, my family's support meant the world to me. I left my daughter with my mother and ventured to Kampala, Uganda's capital city, to build a better life for both of us.

Five years later, I met a kind-hearted man who was a born-again Christian. He wanted a partner who shared his faith, so I began attending church services with him. Initially, I was drawn to the praise and worship, but over time, I developed a deeper connection with God. I joined the church ministry, and it was there that I experienced God's love firsthand. This transformation inspired me to pursue a big dream: helping others who, like me, needed a chance to feel loved.

That's when I discovered the work of  James, and I felt compelled to join him. We’ve seen God’s love towards these children .We got mama Sue and her good friends who came through to help us and these children.  We have a large family now.

MY CONFERENCE TESTIMONY  ...

One of mama Sue’s pastors was coming to Uganda, and she wanted me join them in at the Girl's Talk conference.  I met Pastor Peggy and Pastor Hollie plus the team.  (I didn’t meet Pastor Char that day due to flight delays.)  But it was my encounter with the Women of God, particularly Pastor Peggy and her team from Awe Star Missions, that left an indelible mark on my life. Despite my initial reluctance to go I attended, where I felt so blessed and anointed.

I was also eager to meet Pastor Char, but due to flight delays, it wasn't going to be possible. Miraculously, God arranged for us to meet on the very day she landed in Uganda, as I happened to be in Entebbe visiting one of our supporters!  Meeting Pastor Char was a highlight of my day, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals who share my passion for serving others. Through these experiences, I've come to realize that God's love knows no bounds, and I'm excited to continue serving Him and making a difference in the lives of others.
