Passing the Baton:  Strategic Growth & Prayer Priorities for MCH Dear MCH Community, As we step into this new season, I   (aka maama Sue)  want to share an update on the journey and transitions taking place at Momo Children’s Home.   When this ministry began, I took on the role of spiritual oversight alongside a handful of faithful friends who also stepped in to help meet the immediate practical needs for food, clothing, medical and housing.

  Great News: We Have a Fiscal Sponsor! Dear Friends and Supporters, We are thrilled to share a major milestone for Momo Children’s Home! As of June 18, 2026 , we have officially signed an agreement with our new Fiscal Sponsor, the Christian Ministry Alliance (CMA) ! What This Means for You Tax-Deductible Donations: Because CMA is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit ministry organization, all of your financial gifts toward MCH will now be fully tax-deductible. Fee Structure: As our fiscal sponsor, CMA will handle the collection and distribution of all our donations for a standard 6% administrative fee (plus a 4% processing fee for online transactions). Action Required for Recurring Donors Within the next week, MCH will be fully set up with our new CMA donation page.  Meet the Children (part 3) Akankwasa Calvin Atongire Carlos Calvin and Carlos were brought to MCH by their mother Olivia after she experienced domestic violence from their father.  Calvin's father was abusive and drunk everyday and he failed to care for Calvin, Carlos and their siblings Michelle and Cryton.   Olivia is James' biological sister and MCH's House Parent - Girls.     ( Read more about Olivia and her children's story here) . MOMO CHILDREN'S HOME IS OFFICIAL!!! November 18, 2025 Momo Children's Home received their  Certificate of Incorporation!!    Next step in the process is filing for the NGO status.    To do this the government is requiring that each child have a "normal" bed vs mattresses on the floor.  In addition, they are requiring stable housing - i.e. rent be paid ideally a year, but at least 3 months in advance.    Amount needed to finalize:  7,550,000.00 UGX / $2083.00 USD Please help us brainstorm fundraising ideas Online silent auction?  Would you have anything to sell? URGENT PRAYER REQUEST FROM JAMES: Maama I request prayer for Patience,  she is sick suffering from Malaria.  Even Ronald, and Lillian they are sick.  Maama Viola haven't a job please continously prayers for her.  Maama our monthly Rent period due today,  I request to join me in prayer today at 3:00am my time, yours 7:00pm .      Our crops are totally doing good,  let's thank God for That. Meet Dr Steven - A Vital Supporter of the Momo Team We’re thrilled to welcome Dr. Steven.   31 years old, married with one child, Dr Stevens is a practicing MD for the past 9 years and is currently pursuing a Masters to specialize in pediatric care.   Dr Steven and James met when James' father was sick and admitted to the hospital he worked at.  Since then, he has maintained a relationship with James as a brother.   When James started to take care of the children Steven saw it as something great and a sign of love and responsibility.  Dr Steven loves to help those in need, and sees the work with the Momo children as a blessing to watch them grow with happiness as they're being equipped to make and do something for themselves. With his deep commitment to service, he’s already helping us work toward meeting the most urgent health needs of the children. Finding Family.   A Life Changing Experience by "Aunt Jodianne"  After looking over the vetting report from Africa Missions and seeing this is real, the Holy Spirit placed a heaviness on my heart all evening long. I remember I kept looking at the children ...  the outside latrine the dirt floor in which they had to eat the scarce bit of food that they had  They also had to sleep on that dirt floor as they have no "real" beds. I remember noticing that many had no shoes on their tiny feet.  Well, needless to say The Holy Spirit did not let me rest that evening.  The next day I remember messaging Sue, the leader of our Mentoring Team who has been working tirelessly for these precious children & the whole caregiver team. Sue has been discipling James since October of 2024.  I expressed to her that The Holy Spirit placed this family heavily upon my heart. OUR STORY ...
