Huge Milestone. Prayers Please!
Inspection is Monday!

I have some incredibly exciting news to share with all of you!

Looking back to where we started, it is absolutely mind-blowing to see God's hand in everything that has brought us to this moment. Thanks to a lot of hard work, dedication, and YOUR generous financial and prayer support, Momo Children's Home is ready for their scheduled inspection Monday, June 1 at 10 am (Ugandan time) to be approved and registered as a certified Community-Based Organization (CBO).

We could not have reached this point without your encouragement and backing. We began this journey with the children sleeping on mats on the floor. (See Our Story From The Beginning). Today, every child is sleeping on an above-ground bed!! Their home is now secure and safe with a protective fence!! Three months rent has been paid in advance!! And a month of food reserve is in place!!

Since the very beginning, it's been a privilege as well as faith building experience for all to watch God grow James and the team as they placed their full trust in Him when times were bleak, while putting in the hard work to truly level up. They have learned so many valuable lessons along the way - learning to negotiate, implementing proper purchasing procedures, and keeping above reproach documentation on finances and the children. Everything from the focus of a Spirit led mission statement, organizational structure and governance, to child welfare policies, house and staff rules is now all laid out in their official manual of operations.

The Big Day: Monday Inspection

While the paperwork is complete, the final hurdle is right in front of us. This coming Monday, officials will be conducting the official inspection for our registration.

This inspection is the final step to formalize Momo as a CBO, which will open up incredible new doors for us to serve, grow, and make a lasting impact in the community.

All that said, we believe that data and paperwork only go so far - our true strength comes from our amazing Lord and Savior, faith and community. As we prepare for Monday, we would be so grateful if you would lift Momo up in your prayers.

Favor with the inspectors and smooth logistics during the visit.
Clarity and Peace for James and the team as they present the vision and work.
Open Doors so that this registration is granted quickly, allowing James and team to hit the ground running and to secure grants and assistance post haste.

Since beginning I (Sue) expressed to James financial records and children's records must be up to date and above reproach. They have learned a LOT, and in addition to integrity reasons, understand now WHY this is important as they work hard to meet the requirements to be a registered CBO!
