Strategic Growth & Prayer Priorities for MCH
Dear MCH Community,
As we step into this new season, I (aka maama Sue) want to share an update on the journey and transitions taking place at Momo Children’s Home.
When this ministry began, I took on the role of spiritual oversight alongside a handful of faithful friends who also stepped in to help meet the immediate practical needs for food, clothing, medical and housing. A year ago, as the children and staff became members of Jesus Forever Ministry, a new church plant a mile from the home, spiritual oversight was joyfully passed to Pastor Emmanuel. Now, the time has come to pass the next baton - releasing the operational, administrative, financial and ministry development oversight to our newly appointed Board of Directors as I step into an advisory role.
Please join us in lifted prayers for our new Board as they take on these vital responsibilities, asking for wisdom, unity, and clear vision as they guide MCH to greater heights.
We ask that you continue standing with us in targeted prayer across these key areas:
1. Expanding the Donor Base & Financial Stability
- Essential Needs Reserve: Pray for open doors to expand our donor base so we can build a three-month reserve of essentials (food, rent, utilities, clothing, and emergency medical care. This cushion is vital to ending the month-to-month shortages we have experienced since our founding.
- EducationalSupport: A stable operational base will then allow us to keep our core focus on the children's education - critical if they are going to break free from the cycle of poverty. Currently, mandatory supplies, national fees, uniforms, and required school contributions cost about $200 per trimester ($600 per year) per child to attend local government schools. Pray for doors to open to meet these essential education costs consistently.

2. Supporting Our Dedicated Staff & Volunteers
Our daily operational staff pours their hearts into this work every day. Currently, this full-time team receives room and board as their compensation without a fixed monthly salary, while our community volunteers give freely of their time. Please cover them in prayer for sustained strength, provision, and future salary support:
- Director / Board Liaison: James (Full-Time Executive Director)
- Operations: Deo (Full-Time Operations & Admin Lead)
- Finance and Procurement: Julius (Full-Time Bookkeeper & Purchasing)
- House Parents: Olivia (Full-Time House Parent - Girls) and Fred (Full-Time House Parent - Boys)
- Community Volunteers: Florence (Volunteer Bible Teacher) and Jovia (Volunteer Admin Assistant)
