Happy Birthday James!
As you know, it took time for me (and others) to pray, listen, and discern whether your story was true, as sadly you were also up against so many scams coming out of Uganda. But as the months went on, and as we shared God’s Word, prayed together, and walked through the daily realities of your situation, the truth became clear. Your faith, though small at first, grew as we moved outside the scope of the Chasing Christ ministry to support you spiritually, emotionally, and financially as well.
Now, I’ve watched you become a young man of courage and deeper trust in God. Even in the face of food shortages, sickness, rent challenges, education needs, and the uphill work of getting the home registered, you’ve chosen to lean on the Lord instead of giving up. You’ve grown into a leader who reflects Christ’s love, both to the children and to those of us who walk with you.
God’s Word reminds us in Jn 1:12, 1 Jn 3:1 and Ephesians 2:19 - “So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God.” That is why you are truly family to me (and Aunt Jodianne, Aunt Steffi, Uncle Ben and Uncle Fernando and the others supporting you.) I am proud of you James, and I thank God for the man you are becoming and the testimony of His faithfulness you carry.
May this year ahead bring fresh blessings, open doors, and an even greater witness of God’s faithfulness in your life.

ReplyDeleteDearest James, The last year has been such an incredible journey with you taking on the enormous responsibility in the caring of all of the children that has been wrought with some challenges yet so many victories having faith in our Heavenly Father and His perfect timing for everything.
Witnessing your faith and trust in God and His provisions has grown you in so many different ways.
Your caring for these beautiful children James is not just serving but a powerful testament of The Holy Spirit pouring out of your heart unconditionally loving and caring for one of our world's most vulnerable that our Lord and Savior Jesus commands us to do. "Help the widow, the fatherless, the soujourn er"
You started with a commitment for caring for these children and what has been emerging from that is the inner work of The Holy Spirit that has regenerated you and sanctified you; Continually transforming you into the likeness, the image of our Savior Christ Jesus.
James you are a shining light and testimony to these children modeling to them the unconditional love, mercy and compassion of Our Savior Lord Jesus.
Witnessing your faith and trust grow in our Heavenly Father's provisions, promises and Truths that He gives us in His Word has been so incredible for all of us to see.
Momma, Auntie Steffi, Uncle Ben, Uncle Fer, myself and others have had the honor and privilege to be able to pray with you & the children minister to all of you, & help in whatever ways that we could. We are family and I thank you for allowing us the honor, blessing and privilege of allowing us to be a part of your lives.
