Meet The Momo Team - Viola
Meet Viola
My name is Viola, and I'm 28 years old. Growing up in a very poor background with four siblings, two boys and three girls, our single mother worked tirelessly to provide for us as farmers. But when I was just 5 years old, my life took a dramatic turn. I was fortunate enough to be taken in by Children of Uganda, an organization that helped poor children like me. They schooled me, fed me, clothed me, and showered me with love. I was known for my energetic performances as a dancer and singer, and everyone made me feel seen and valued.
After completing my education, I faced new challenges as a young mother. I gave birth to my firstborn at a tender age and became a single mother. Despite the difficulties, my family's support meant the world to me. I left my daughter with my mother and ventured to Kampala, Uganda's capital city, to build a better life for both of us.
Five years later, I met a kind-hearted man who was a born-again Christian. He wanted a partner who shared his faith, so I began attending church services with him. Initially, I was drawn to the praise and worship, but over time, I developed a deeper connection with God. I joined the church ministry, and it was there that I experienced God's love firsthand. This transformation inspired me to pursue a big dream: to run an orphanage and help others who, like me, needed a chance to feel loved.
That's when I discovered the work of James, and I felt compelled to join him. We’ve seen God’s love towards these children. We got mama Sue and her good friends (to include aunt Jodianne, uncle Ben, aunt Steffi and uncle Fer) who came through to help these children. We have a large family now!
