Meet the Children
We are providing these short profiles to you, our Supporters to meet the children to get to know how your prayers and financial support are helping change lives. Please do not share the children's profiles publicly.
We ask you to continue praying for a USA based "fiscal sponsor", for essential needs (food, clothing, housing and medical), and ability to meet the bedding and housing requirements for NGO status.
In addition, pray for their education and skills training. They "yearn" to go to school!! To send the children to the local school however costs $5200 per term, so for now they must continue to be home schooled. Pray for basic supplies (paper, pens, books, etc) as well as curriculum and people to adequately teach.
Patience
16 years old
Patience faced significant loss at a very young age, losing her father to natural causes when she was only two years old. Following his death, her mother struggled to provide for her alone. When her mother eventually remarried, Patience’s stepfather did not accept her because she was not his biological daughter. This rejection led to a period of extreme hardship where Patience lived in the forest for six years.
Her life took a turn for the better when she found a home with the father of a boy named James. During this time, she was able to find joy and smile again. However, this stability was cut short when James’ father passed away. This second loss left Patience and the other children in his care struggling to survive, often going without food.
Patience eventually found a permanent sense of belonging at the Momo Children’s Home. She now lives there as part of a family and expresses deep gratitude for the support she receives.
Now 16 years old, Patience is described as having a joyful spirit and a powerful sense of purpose. She possesses a strong desire and gifting to preach and share her faith with others.
Lillian
12 years old
Her father died. Mother is alive but her location is unknown. Last contact was 2021. Her mother couldn't support Lilian. James and his mother (Nanjogero) became her legal guardian.
Christine
15 years old
My name is Christine and I am 15 years old. Praise the Lord! I grew up with a best friend of my mother. I am not biologically related. I learned she is James' mother. What I speak now is what I was told by James' mother who raised me ... My mother was called Flora when my father married. They had a happy life together for 2 years and then my mother got pregnant with me. James' mother who raised me never wanted to tell me the following: "Your mother was pregnant with you and went to give birth. Unfortunately, their wasn't supportive health care for her. She gave birth to you while she breathed her last breath. We buried her in a sad moment. It was then that me and my husband started taking care of you. She never breastfed you. I was the one who breast fed you with milk. ."
