 Meet the Children (part 2) Claire was placed under the care of MCH when her father (who is also James' father) passed away.  (Note: James' father had 5 wives).   One day Claire's mother separated from her father and her father began to  care for she and her siblings Lillian, Joseline and Ronald.  Before her father passed away, he requested that James take care of them, and James promised to do his best. His father passed away soon after. James started to care for Claire and her siblings Ronald, Joseline and Lillian despite having nothing, surviving on a single meal from their garden. To this day, their biological mother has never been found. She was an alcoholic. James' mother has been their guardian and a mother figure to them.  Meet the Team of Caregivers Julius MCH Board Treasurer and Finance Director (in training!) My name is Julius and my life started with much suffering. When my father died, my world became very dark. I had nowhere to go and no one to hold my hand. I remember many sleepless nights. I would lie down with a stomach so hungry it hurt. Many times, I had no food at all. I only had water to drink so I could try to sleep. I struggled every day just to stay alive. I could not go to school like other children because I had nothing. My life was full of trauma and pain, and I felt like the world had forgotten me. But even in these dark nights, God was watching me. I prayed to Him and by His grace, He changed everything. He took me out of that life of hunger and loneliness. He brought me to Momo's Children's Home and healed my spirit. He gave me a kind heart and took away the bitterness of my past. As our Board Secretary and Administrative and Communications Director, Lydia is a cornerstone of the Momo Children’s Home team, but her journey to this leadership role began in a place of great hardship. TESTIMONY:  Lydia, the mother of Ayan and Amirah, was happily married for over five years. Her husband was a dedicated businessman who ran a small retail shop far from their home, returning every weekend to be with his family. During those years, Lydia’s mother was a constant source of support and care for the household. Tragedy struck unexpectedly one weekend. After leaving for work, Lydia received a devastating call from a friend: her husband had been struck by a car while crossing the road. He never returned home alive; he was brought back in a coffin for burial....

It is a year that proved that when transparency meets compassion, lives are changed forever ... thanks to all of YOU. The Timeline of Transformation January – March: The Search for Truth The mission began with a commitment to integrity. In January and February, Maama Sue contacted Bethel 360, Africa Missions, and other potential partners to coordinate an in person vetting meeting.  On March 28, 2025, two friends joined her in raising the needed funds to send two pastors from Africa Missions to verify James and the children's situation on the ground. MOMO CHILDREN'S HOME IS OFFICIAL!!! November 18, 2025 Momo Children's Home received their  Certificate of Incorporation!!    Next step in the process is filing for the NGO status.    To do this the government is requiring that each child have a "normal" bed vs mattresses on the floor.  In addition, they are requiring stable housing - i.e. rent be paid ideally a year, but at least 3 months in advance.    Amount needed to finalize:  7,550,000.00 UGX / $2083.00 USD Please help us brainstorm fundraising ideas Online silent auction?  Would you have anything to sell? TRUSTING GOD THROUGH THE STORM  A Call To Prayer Posted:  Friday, November 21, 2025  On Wednesday, November 19th, James reached out to me ("maama Sue") with a message describing his current burden: "Good morning Maama, how are you doing today Maama. Am sorry the delay to reply But I was overwhelmed. And In hardship you taught me to seek God first. Maama yesterday i teared up because of the situation.
